June 2024: Chef Dylan Durk – Japanese Tradition Meets Ontario Spring
Chef Dylan Durk, our Head Chef of Events, has been with elle cuisine for over three years. His extensive experience, particularly in Japan, inspired a Japanese tasting menu featuring fresh Ontario spring ingredients. The evening included Japanese-inspired signature cocktails and an exquisite eight-course tasting menu.
July 2024: Chef Mickal Gardner – Taste of the Caribbean
Chef Mickal Gardner, who progressed from event & production chef to Senior Sous Chef, curated a Caribbean-inspired tasting menu. Each course reflected significant moments from his culinary journey, offering guests a taste of traditional Jamaican flavors and techniques.
September 2024: Chef Jonah Mills – A Contemporary Tasting Menu
As our Kitchen Manager, Chef Jonah Mills crafted a contemporary menu inspired by his 12 years in the hospitality industry. Jonah described his culinary approach as a conversation between chef and guest, showcasing a diverse range of dishes that represented his unique experiences.
On May 12, 2024, elle cuisine hosted a one-of-a-kind Mother’s Day High Tea Charity Event at The Symes. In partnership with Toronto Life and supported by vendor sponsors, this luxury high tea experience aimed to raise funds and awareness for Shelter Movers, a national charitable organization helping families fleeing abuse.

50% of all ticket sales went directly to Shelter Movers, supporting survivors of gender-based violence in their transition to safer lives. Guests enjoyed a premium high tea served tableside on elegant three-tiered stands, complemented by mimosas and spritzes throughout the event.
